Frequently Asked Questions

At Digital Worlds, we know that Virtual Reality is new for so many people. Most people's first encounter with VR is something like a Samsung GearVR or an Oculus Quest, and while they are pretty cool devices for VR, they don't offer the really high-end, mind-blowing experience that you will have at Digital Worlds. We're sure that you have a lot of questions whether you've never tried any form of VR, you have tried mobile VR like the two listed above, or even if you're a seasoned VR player with your own personal setup. For information about what a VR station is, how it works, etc… then please check out THIS link for more info about that.

If you have any additional questions that we haven't answered in this FAQ page, then please feel free to contact us by phone at 615-538-7514 or by email at Craig@DigitalWorldsVR.com.

Booking & Waivers

A: A LIABILITY WAIVER must be signed to ensure that the player understands the rules and potential hazards of using a VR system.

A: Absolutely! You can book as many sessions as you’d like as long as we have spots available. We have lots of multiplayer games and multiple stations are required if you're wanting to do multiplayer.

A: For smaller reservations, a station is limited to 1-person per station. For private events, we do allow for more people than there are stations.

A: Of course. At Digital Worlds, we have access to around 80 VR games that you've probably never had access to. DWVR is also a great place to be able to do multiplayer with your friends, which you probably can't do large multi-player matches at your house. It also helps that our stations are 100 square feet, which is a very large space, and when combined with the wireless VR we have, provides and epic sense of freedom.

A: Absolutely, please note that walk-in bookings are subject to station availability. Please email us at Craig@DigitalWorldsVR.com or give us a call at (615) 538-7514 to check on the room availability for that day.

A: A refund can only be issued if you made your booking online with us and is canceled at least 24 hours before the time of your booking. Cancellations within 24 hours of your booked start time can be rescheduled or be provided full credit; no refunds. Bookings made over the phone will be charged for the number of participants initially booked and standard refund policies still applied. Please note, refunds are processed at the end of the month and it will take 3 – 5 business days for it to appear on your statements.

Safety & Requirements

A: Cleanliness has always been a focus for Digital Worlds, afterall, we wear the gear more than anyone else. After every VR session, we wipe down the VR gear with Clorox Disinfecting Wipes. We don't use wipes with either alcohol or bleach so as not to irritate your eyes or skin. We also wipe down our door handles to the bathrooms and wipe down our water fountain. Finally, we provide 70% ethyl alcohol hand sanitizer for you to use upon arriving to the arcade and to use again before leaving the arcade.

A: We can adjust the depth of the lenses in the VR headsets, so in most cases you should be fine with your glases on. We haven't encountered a pair yet that hasn't fit. If you use glasses to see far away things but you can see close up stuff just fine, then you'll actually be able to take them off and see fairly well.

A: We recommend casual wear. Some games require more movement than others and will make you sweat. No hats should be worn while using the VR headset. It's recommended that you not wear makeup as that can sometimes get onto the lenses and make it tough for you to see clearly.

A: Participants who are under the age of 14 must have an adult or guardian present. Participants under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian sign their waiver. Some children may not be able to properly wear the VR headset, we suggest 8 as the youngest but everyone is different. Height is a non-issue, but the size of childrens hands can sometimes make it difficult for them to activate buttons on the controls. Luckily, we have great options for them that don't use buttons, like Fruit Ninja.

A: If it's your first time doing VR, we recommend that you arrive 15 minutes early so that you can work with one of our trained staff and learn all the ins and outs of VR and get straight into your session promptly. If you've done VR before, please arrive 10 minutes early to make sure your waiver is in just fine.

Games & Gameplay

A: 10 feet by 10 feet (3 meters by 3 meters).

A: Red grid lines in the VR system will appear when you are near the edges of the playspace. These will warn you when you are close to the real walls.

A: We offer a variety of games and experiences and the staff is well versed on them all. They will be able to talk with you and find out what you're comfortable with.

General & Misc

A: Virtual Reality is the future of entertainment and social interaction and will play massive roles in the medical field, engineering, and many other areas of our lives every day. Non-gamers actually have some of the most fun here and I love to see their reactions once I put their headset on.

A: We do sell some drinks (bottled water, bottled Gatorade, energy drinks, and bottled frapachinos) (we do not sell alcohol but it is allowed for private events) and some snacks (candy bars, energy bars, fruit bars, and fruit chews). If you bring your own, please bring drinks in bottles that can be resealed and food that doesn't stick to your hands.
